Google Merchant Center FTP Server Update

Hi,

I’ve received an email from Google Merchant Center (copied below) stating there are new IP addresses for FTP uploads to Google from 29th Feb. I thought you might need a copy as its not something we end users configure.
Thanks,
Emma

Hello,

Thank you for using Google Merchant Center. This email is for active users of the Google Merchant Center FTP upload server (uploads.google.com). If you do not submit data feeds to Google Merchant Center via FTP (Submit feeds via SFTP or FTP - Google Merchant Center Help), you may ignore this message.

On 15 February, we’re upgrading the Google Merchant Center FTP system and updating the IP addresses for our upload server (ftp://uploads.google.com).
If your network firewall rules require you to permit connections to specific IP addresses, you’ll need to update your network settings as a result of this change. If you submit feeds to uploads.google.com without adjusting your firewall settings, you may disregard this notification.

If you submit your data feeds via FTP and you’re connecting from a network protected by a firewall, make sure that the firewall rules allow you to connect to the following IP addresses:

New IP addresses for uploads.google.com:

108.170.217.160
108.170.217.161
108.170.217.162
108.170.217.163
108.170.217.164 (existing)
108.170.217.165 (existing)
108.170.217.166 (existing)
108.170.217.167 (existing)
108.170.217.168
108.170.217.169
108.170.217.170
108.170.217.171

Please note that these IP addresses should only be used to configure your firewall and not to establish direct connection to the server. To connect to the FTP server, please always use the hostname uploads.google.com, as none of the specific IP addresses are guaranteed to be available at a given time.

If necessary, please make sure that you implement any changes to your firewall by 15 February to prevent any interruptions when we make this change.

If you have any questions, please contact us at Google Merchant Center Help

Below, we’ve included the list of IP addresses that will be deprecated. You should keep these IP addresses in your firewall settings until we’ve completed this migration on 29 February.

IP addresses to be retired:

108.170.208.21
108.170.208.22
108.170.208.23
108.170.208.24

108.170.220.29

Your sincerely,

The Google Merchant Center Team
